Gizmo CDA

Gizmo is many things, but first and foremost, Gizmo is a makerspace where art, design, tools, and technology are connected by the hands and minds of those in our community.

Gizmo-CDA is Coeur d’Alene’s non-profit community makerspace where we build creative confidence and curiosity through programs ​that give all people access to tools, technologies, and mentors. A makerspace is a multi-media workshop where, similar to a gym membership, community members can pay a monthly fee to get access to an array of small- and large-scale machines, such as laser cutters, 3D printers, a woodshop, a machine shop, and a pottery studio. We also provide comprehensive training to ensure their safe and effective usage. Beyond our membership options, we host adult and youth classes on arts and technologies so that anyone in the local community and school districts can learn and create in our makerspace.
