Hand in Hand Family Mentorship is a non-profit organization based in the Treasure Valley.
The Opportunity:
We’re looking for caring adults who are willing to build a one-on-one mentoring relationship with a local parent or adult who could use added support. Many of the people we serve are navigating isolation, life transitions, and parenting challenges and are simply looking for a safe, steady person to walk alongside them.
About the People We Serve:
The individuals and families we work with are referred to us from organizations that work to strengthen families. These individuals are resilient, and doing their best and trying to make better life choices for a better future.
They value trust and genuine connection. They are looking for someone who will listen and encourage them.
What to Expect:
Low Pressure: Mentors are not counselors or case managers. Your role is to be a consistent, caring presence.
Flexible: Mentoring looks different for every match and may include phone calls, texts, or occasional visits, based on what works for both of you.
Time Commitment: Most mentors connect via text, phone or in person, about 1–2 times per month, with timing and format decided together.
Support: You’ll be onboarded as a mentor through Hand in Hand Family Mentorship and given guidance, resources, and ongoing support along the way.
Is this a fit for you?
If you’re a good listener, value relationship, and have a heart for walking alongside others without judgment or pressure, we’d love to hear from you.
