Who We Are

Idaho Trails Association is a nonprofit that works with volunteers, organizations, and government partners to preserve Idaho’s incredible trail system through education, maintenance projects, and public lands advocacy.

What We Do

Idaho Trails Association organizes volunteer trail clearing and maintenance projects on over 300 miles of public hiking trails across Idaho every year. With four paid staff, we outreach and organize over 90 trips per year as well as provide education on trail stewardship and Leave No Trace principles. In addition to our mixed trips, we have youth and women's programs to encourage these groups to get out in the backcountry and help steward Idaho's trails. ITA is an active voice for public lands and hiking in Idaho.
