Who We Are

CDAIDE serves Coeur d’Alene-area hospitality workers by meeting their immediate needs, connecting them with resources for long term self-sufficiency, and ensuring they feel valued, respected, and loved.

What We Do

In the Coeur d'Alene area, workers in the restaurant and hospitality industry are especially vulnerable, often lacking supportive relationships and access to resources that can see them through a crisis or prevent the slide into homelessness. Hospitality workers form one of the hardest-working yet most fragile groups in our community.

Whether they are servers, cooks, dishwashers, cleaners, or others, they often struggle with limited income and assets, lack of insurance, and an absence of the resources their families need. In our area, many face a seasonal work cycle, with a long winter of reduced work and pay. Unexpected medical expenses, auto breakdown, or a lapsed rent payment can spell crisis, even homelessness or job loss, for them.

Our support may include financial aid for urgent needs, access to health care, connection to community resources, and other measures to meet individual needs. All of our services are offered with no strings attached.

CDAIDE works exclusively through referral from managers, owners, co-workers, and others. Individuals cannot self-refer for our services. Our target area is greater Coeur d'Alene, ID, including Hayden and Post Falls.
