Kootenai County Office of Emergency Management is the county's local government agency responsible for coordinating all activities related to emergency preparedness, mitigation, response, and recovery within the county.

The Kootenai County Office of Emergency Management (OEM) works in partnership with first responders, public agencies, and community organizations to prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies and disasters. Our mission is to coordinate resources effectively, support those on the front lines, and keep the public informed with accurate and timely information—enhancing the safety, resilience, and well-being of our entire community.
