Who We Are
What We Do
The Pro-Voice Project (PVP) uses storytelling and arts-based programming to strengthen community connection, foster civic dialogue, and support Idahoans navigating rapidly changing reproductive healthcare realities, including abortion restrictions and their fallout. PVP serves communities statewide, with particular focus on rural and underserved regions, creating trusted spaces for reflection, dialogue, and shared understanding.
- Stage Productions Live performances—including "In Defiance of Silence," "Abortion Is Healthcare," and "One Body"—share Idahoans’ lived experiences and foster conversation across ages, sectors, and perspectives.
- Writing Workshops Reproductive Writes workshops guide participants in shaping personal abortion experiences into reflective narratives.
- Multimedia Mobile Exhibit "Worth of a Woman" is a traveling interactive installation that sparks dialogue about systemic barriers to reproductive healthcare. Each showing is paired with facilitated community conversations.
- Documentary Films The Overturned series includes two short films highlighting Idahoans navigating gaps in care. Screenings are hosted at community events and partner gatherings, creating space for dialogue and reflection. Episode 3, featuring OB/GYN perspectives, is slated for Spring 2026.
- Community Events & Public Storytelling Monthly Rights & Resistance gatherings and The Receiver, a reimagined phone booth for anonymous storytelling, provide community-centered spaces for engagement.
Through these programs, PVP increases civic engagement, reduces social isolation and stigma, and fosters greater shared understanding in communities facing complex reproductive healthcare challenges.
