Join United Way of North Idaho as a Volunteer Event Photographer for our Day of Caring 2025! This is a dynamic opportunity for aspiring or student photographers to build their portfolio, gain real-world experience, and support a high-impact community event. Your work will help capture the spirit of service and highlight the incredible volunteers and projects happening across North Idaho.
What You’ll Do:
- Capture candid and posed photos of volunteers, project sites, and event highlights.
- Work independently or in coordination with United Way staff at assigned locations.
- Deliver high-quality digital images within one week of the event.
- Sign a photo release and credit agreement (if applicable).
- Help tell the story of Day of Caring through visual content that may be used in future promotional materials, social media, and reports.
Skills & Requirements:
- Some photography experience and familiarity with using DSLR or high-quality mirrorless cameras.
- Own your own camera and equipment.
- Ability to take direction and work in a variety of settings (indoor/outdoor, different lighting).
- Reliable transportation to assigned project site(s).
- Friendly and professional demeanor.

Inclement Weather Plan: Day of Caring projects take place both indoors and outdoors. As this day usually has multiple locations, prepare to be in many different environments and keep in mind that project areas are work zones (paint, debris, mud, dirt, etc) and dress accordingly. | |
