Help us serve firefighters working in the Silver Valley! Shoshone Mountain Retreat & Ranch, part of Lutherhaven Ministries, is currently hosting firefighters responding to the wildfire in the area.
We are looking for volunteers to help serve meals, assist with cleanup, and help care for the crews staying with us. Volunteers may help with setting up, serving food, refilling drinks, clearing tables, washing dishes, cleaning dining and common areas, taking out trash, and other needs as they come up.
Because Shoshone is a bit of a drive, we are especially looking for volunteers who can spend a full day with us or stay for several days. Overnight accommodations are available for volunteers who would like to stay and serve longer.
This need will continue for as long as firefighters are based at Shoshone and responding to the fire, so we are looking for both one-day and ongoing volunteer support. No special experience is needed, just a willingness to serve and help create a welcoming place for those working hard to protect our communities.
